Serious About Swimming

Sadie loves to swim. We call her a fish because she swims underneath the water. She calls herself a mermaid. She loves to dive and do flips. She always asks me if I want her to teach me how to swim. Sadie loves when Matt goes because he loves to go under water and play with her. I like to smile and wave at her from the lawn chair! Sadie plays so hard that her feet blister and bleed from the bottom of the pool. Her eyes are always red because when she swims under the water she keeps her eyes open. So, we went and got her water shoes and (as Sadie calls them) gobbles. So, I got a picture of her wearing her shoes and goggles and she loves it!!

I am not sure how Sadie got it in her head that Valentine's Day was all about her, but she did. She really felt like it was her birthday or something. It was really cute though to see her so excited. Connor had a little party at school and he was so proud of all of his cards and candy that he got. He also made me a heart which I hung up and he thinks it is the neatest thing ever. Matt was so sweet too. He also does such special little things for me. I love my little family. Even if one of them (Sadie) thinks every holiday is to celebrate her!!

Pool Time!!

This was such an amazing week for me. Since I have been really sick my little sister Krystal said she was going to come and help me. So, Matt and I went to the airport to pick her up. Well, we met her at the security gate so that we could help her with her luggage and Bridger. We were getting ready to walk to baggage claim and I see Krys look up at someone and I turned around and it was my mom. She had surprised me and come with Krystal. It was like I had seen a ghost. I was so shocked. I instantly started to cry - I couldn't help it, I was so happy. I had been so sick for weeks and during that time all I have wanted was my mom, so to see her standing there was just overwhelming. I have never had time go by that fast. It just meant so much to me that they would drop things in their own life to help me with mine. Matt is on a really bad rotation right now, he is doing OBGYN at a huge hospital in Mesa. So, not only is he an hour away, but his hours are awful. The timing was so perfect for them to come. The only bad part is saying goodbye, that is something I can't get used to. I look around and imagine stuff we did and see things, it really is so hard to be away from those you love. Anyway, here a couple of fun pictures.

Well, since I have been so sick and don't have anything too new going on, I thought I would just post the last couple of pictures from Christmas Break. It was fun to be with my family! We went to dinners, movies, and just got to be together. I love and miss you all!

Right before we left Idaho my dad wanted to do something special with Sadie, so he took Sadie & Whitney to the Chipmunk Movie. Sadie was so excited and still talks about how grandpa took her to the movie. You really never forget one-on-ones with your grandparents. Thanks dad!!

Pink or Blue???

Well, it is official, I am actually pregnant with my 3rd. I was so hesitant to say anything until I heard the heartbeat. I went to the doctor this week and he did an ultra sound. I have never had one done so early, but it was so fun to see a tiny hand and foot. For me, seeing that heartbeat was so emotional and I can't remember a time I have been that happy. Everything that has happened between when I had Connor and now has made the joy that much sweeter. There are so many people I love that I really wanted to know, so that is why I am posting this. When he did the ultra sound, my due date came up as 08/08/08. I thought that was just the icing for me. I am 11 weeks!

We had a really fun party with Matt's Family. We played games, had a really good dinner and the best part was Eloise giving the 5 big girls their matching pj's and the 2 baby girls their matching pj's and then Connor getting his own. Since he is the only boy! 7 girls, one boy! Hopefully one day he will get a boy cousin in there somewhere. We had such a great time with the Payne's!!

We just got back from Christmas Break. Why is it always so hard to leave? I hate goodbyes, I could be saying goodbye for a day and still cry! I guess I will recap our break in the next couple of days. It was so fun to be with everyone again. On our way up to Idaho we stopped in Utah and went to my sister-in-law's basketball game. Rebekah plays for UVSC. It was amazing watching her play, she is so good. The kids were so excited to see Doug & Rebekah. After the game we went to my Grandma's house and met up with Amy and Noah. We all went to Thanksgiving Point and did the carriage ride through the lights. It was so much fun.

Wait A Minute, That's Not An Angel!

We had our Ward Christmas Party. The best part was when the Primary Children got to come out and act out the Nativity Scene. Sadie was an angel, and I was so busy taking pictures that I didn't even notice that Connor had taken off. Well, I didn't have to look far because he was on stage next to Sadie and all of the other angels. He was so proud to be apart. Then he walked off the stage in a single file line back to the primary room like he was one of them. What is a Ward Christmas Party without some little kid crashing the Nativity Scene? It just so happens that the kid crashing it this year was mine!!

Connor was in the tub making the sounds he usually makes. Splashing, standing up and then trying to use the back of the tub as a slide, roaring with his ninja turtles, and some screaming when he gets super wild. Anyway, my point is I can hear Connor when he is in the tub no matter what room I am in. Well, all of the sudden I couldn't hear him anymore, I ran in to see if he was okay and I saw him with my Sonic drink sucking it down as fast as he could before I would catch him. He snuck those naked buns out of the tub and grabbed my drink. If it hadn't been so dang cute, I would have been mad that my Saturday Morning Drink was gone!

Bonding

I was going through some pictures of this last year and I found some of Whitney and Sadie that I thought were really cute. Whitney is my littlest sister and Sadie has just grown up with her. Sadie adores Whitney and you can see why, dressing her up as a princess, hosting tea parties, making up dances, always coming up with new games, and most important, lets Sadie feel of her love. Anyone Sadie is around will somehow end up hearing Whitney's name in the conversation. She cries for a week after we leave Idaho because she wants Whitney or when she is in trouble all she can say is that she wants Whitney. It just really struck me how these bonds start at such an early age. Later in life it won't matter how little you see or talk to them, when you do, you will feel the same and it will be like you were never apart. I think of the people I bonded with when I was little and I don't get to see them as often as I would like, but when I do I still feel that love and closeness for them. So, Whitney thank you for making such a difference in Sadie's life. You can't have too many people to love you, and you truly are her little angel.
