Brady Douglas Peterson

I got this one from Rebekah - it is just too saucy not to post

We were so excited!

Oh it was such an exciting yet emotional day! We went to the hospital to see Rebekah and she was doing so great. We were just in her room talking and just having such a good time. We went out for a few minutes to let her rest and the next thing we knew she was getting wheeled in for an emergency C-section. We were so scared and confused. Doug came into the waiting area in his scrubs and after he left we got emotional. It felt like we were in the waiting room forever! Then, Doug came in and announced the birth of their baby boy. We were so relieved to hear that everything went well. A few hours later we were able to go back and meet Brady for the first time. I started laughing when I held him because he was such a carbon copy of Doug. He is the most handsome baby. His pouty lips are too much to handle. I could not believe how good Rebekah looked for what she had just gone through. She was so sweet and never complained. She was just so elated to be a mom. We are so grateful for their sacrifice to bring little Brady into our family. He is perfect and we love him so much already!

The night before Connor's birthday my mom called to see if they could come down to Pocatello to see Connor. The next morning my Dad and Doug called to see what the plan was. So, they all drove down around 12:00 and we went to Ross Park. Rebekah even came and she was ready to have little Brady any minute. She is always such a good sport! Anyway, we spent a couple of hours there and it was fun because it was SO hot! Then, we went to Skippers for Connor's little lunch. We came back to our house to change out of our swim stuff and got ready to go to Chile's for Connor's b-day dinner. After dinner, my parents, Doug, and Rebekah headed home. Connor was so excited to open up his gifts. He got so many fun things and he was so proud and felt so special. He kept saying, "I five now, I am big!" Every time the phone rang he knew it was for him and he was so excited - thanks to everyone who made it so special for our little Connor. We love him so much! He is so funny and sweet and really coming into his own! Happy Birthday Buddy!

Such a sad little life

My Grandpa Peterson had a really fun catered cook-out at his house. It was so fun to see all of my Dad's family from Arizona and Idaho there. Everyone was so sweet with my kids, especially Sophie. It was also so fun for Sadie to reunite with some of her cousins she hasn't seen in awhile! Sadie was so disappointed to have to leave - so cute!

The fourth was so fun like always! It has turned into our favorite day! I did miss Matt all day though. He was on call and had to do a ton of surgeries that day. But, my family made sure I wasn't too lonely! We went to the parade and the kids were so thrilled to run out and get the candy and all of the other fun things you get there. Then we went out to Landons for our BBQ get together. I love it out there. It reminds me of when I was a little kid, there was no place I wanted to be more, then at the Landon's House! My Grandma and Grandpa Andrus were there which made it even more fun! It was so fun being with my family and seeing the kids have such a blast! I am so grateful for America and our freedom's - I am so proud to be an American!
